Alumnae Endowed Scholarship Program
The Lisska Center will be making several awards of $2000 each to rising junior or senior women this year as a part of the Alumnae Endowed Scholarship Program.
The scholarship was endowed by alumna Deborah Mohatarem (’76) and is to be awarded “to a female upperclass student who has demonstrated achievement in several of the following areas — academics, service, the arts, student leadership, or is a student who has shown outstanding and extraordinary achievement in one area.” High academic achievement is baseline.
We will also be offering several smaller A. Blair Knapp awards. This award is made to a student in the current senior class who has shown unusual academic competence and who aspires to dedicate his or her life to the field of liberal arts education.
If you would like to nominate one of your majors (or any other student) for either of these awards, please send a letter of nomination (approximately one page) by Monday, April 10th, to the attention of Margot Singer, c/o Cookie Sunkle in the Lisska Center. You may include a resume if one is available.
