Norovirus

Norovirus is a very contagious virus that can infect anyone. You can get it from an infected person, contaminated food or water, or by touching contaminated surfaces.


The virus causes your stomach or intestines, or both, to become inflamed. This leads you to have stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea and to throw up. These symptoms can be serious for some people, especially young children and older adults.

It is important to note that Norovirus can be easily spread from person to person living in close proximity. Therefore, it is recommended the 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### students living in close quarters follow proper sanitation and personal hygienic practices to assist in the stop of the spread of the virus. Especially, please wash your hands — frequently!

Additionally, the Licking County Health Department is supplying food workers at 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### University with information about proper food handling as a precaution.
