Psychology major Heather Stouffer '96: CEO of Mom Made Foods

Heather Stouffer ‘96 has figured out a way to help beleaguered families enjoy healthy meals.

The psychology major was frustrated with her own attempts to find quick, nutritional meals for her own family, so she began her own business — Mom Made Foods, which now serves more than 5,000 stores nationwide.

Stouffer is CEO of the company, which she began selling her own home-made macaroni and cheese at her local farmer’s market.

Now Stouffer’s product line includes a variety of meatballs, made from beef, turkey, chicken and extra ingredients like apples and cheese; cheese burritos; pizza pockets; and a gluten-free mac and cheese, which, judging from the company blog, is a big hit with adults as well as kids.

Stouffer notes on her website: “Mom Made Foods is inspired by those freshly prepared, familiar recipes that kids and parents love. They are the foundation for a lifetime of healthy eating, and they should still be convenient without sacrificing quality or nutrition.

“More than ever, kids need to eat wholesome, delicious foods without the added junk.

“From our family to yours, we hope you enjoy Mom Made Foods!”
