14th Human Rights Fest: "What Will People Say"
“What Will People Say” is a moving drama about a young Pakistani woman in Norway named Nisha, who lives a double life. However, her two worlds inevitably collide when her father discovers her Norwegian boyfriend. As a result, Nisha’s parents send her to live with extended family in Pakistan. There, in an unfamiliar country surrounded by people she barely knows, Nisha must learn to adapt and embrace a culture she once tried to suppress.
Moderated by Professor Veerendra Lele and Intl Studies Fellow Jilly Fox, this film is 106 minutes long. Directed by Iram Haq, “What Will People Say” debuted in 2017.
