Introduction to Global Health - in a healthy environment

Lectures & Discussions

Prof. Fareeda Griffith’s Introduction to Global Health class took place in a different environment - outdoors in a tent.

The class is reading “Pathologies of Power: Health, Human Rights, and the New War on the Poor.”

“I wanted to provide a visual representation of the Influential Actors and Institutions in Global Health before we dove into our discussion of the health system in Cuba and Haiti,” says Griffith. “Additionally, we were discussing structural violence and the axes of oppression.”

This is the first year 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### is offering the Global Health major, of which Griffith is the director. Global Health majors learn to evaluate patterns and societal issues to understand and respond to diseases, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to inform global health policy.
