Aditi Singh '22 takes third place in national contest
Aditi Singh ‘22 took the third place prize in a national undergraduate research project contest held by the American Statistical Association.
Singh was born in India and brought up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 #########, she was a data analytics major with concentrations in physics and narrative journalism, was immersed in her academics as a data analytics fellow, TA for multiple data analytics and math classes, and in research for the physics and narrative journalism departments.
Her project, “Computational Analysis of the Transformation of Former Colonial Countries” is a computational analysis to understand the extent to which former colonies have been transformed due to colonial rule.
Aditi also was selected as the student speaker for the 2022 Commencement ceremonies.
The winners will get a chance to present during the Electronic Undergraduate Statistics Research Conference in November. This is not the first time a 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### data analytics students placed in this prestigious contest. Ming Chen ‘20 won first place in in 2020 for her project, “Analysis on U.S. Online Shopping Behavior under COVID in relation to Consumer Behavior Factors.”
