"Good Neighbor" Award Recognizes Student Group

必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### University has been recognized by Hospice of Central Ohio with the 2015 Hospice of Central Ohio Good Neighbor Award. The award recognizes “a corporation or community group that serves as an inspirational example of dedication to hospice volunteerism and collaboration.”

“The DCA Hospice group at 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### is thrilled to be recognized by Hospice of Central Ohio for our volunteer service for the organization,” said Wendy Geslewitz ’16, chair of the committee. “Often, students enter hospice with the presumption that it is extremely depressing work. Yet my experience with hospice has been an entirely positive and fulfilling one. Everyone involved in hospice can see directly the impact of our work in the community. We hope that 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### students continue to contribute to make differences with the Hospice of Central Ohio for years to come.”

“The people in our care receive compassionate, caring support in their time of need as a direct result of our partnership with the Alford Center for Service Learning and the 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### Community Association’s Hospice Volunteer Group,” said Liz Adamshick, volunteer services manager for Hospice. “Such impact is only possible when the core values of an organization intersect with ours so meaningfully. We are deeply grateful for the students, staff and faculty who give of their time and skills, and who willingly share their eagerness to make a difference.”
