Next Chief Information Officer Announced

必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### University’s Office of the Provost has announced that Dena Speranza will be the college’s Chief Information Officer. Speranza will transition from her current position as 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 #########’s interim CIO to her new role on Monday, Jan. 12.

For more than 15 years, Speranza has worked with private universities, including Capital University and Ohio Dominican University, to provide expertise in information technology management. Speranza also has served as a senior consultant with Centric Consulting, most recently in the business transformation area at Nationwide Insurance, and as principal consultant and chief operating officer at AWH, a thriving software development small business in Dublin, Ohio. In addition, she performed in information technology management roles for Asbury University in Kentucky and Regent University in Virginia.

“We had a terrific pool of strong applicants,” said 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### Provost Kim Coplin. “Dena rose to the top with her extensive information technology experience, strong interpersonal and listening skills, and her track record of being a team builder.” She added, “Her focus at 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### will be to develop an excellent IT service culture that is aligned with 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 #########’s strategic plan, to build relationships with all campus constituencies, and to optimize organizational performance to provide good stewardship of university resources and improve student outcomes.”

In her new role, Speranza will lead 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 #########’s talented Information Technology Services team to optimize technology resources and processes, and assess these services regularly to promote continued delivery of exceptional service in its four divisions, which include educational technology services, enterprise applications, information technology security and technical services.

In addition to her work, Speranza is enterprising in other activities, which include attaining her professional coach certification, mentoring start-up entrepreneurs, scuba diving, and volunteering at her church.
