Several 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 ######### University students have received prestigious national and international scholarships and were recognized for their achievements at the college’s Academic Awards Convocation held on Friday, April 25, in Swasey Chapel.
President Adam Weinberg acknowledged the following students for their accomplishments:
Hastea Darabian, a junior from Winnetka, Calif.; Hannah Meyer, a junior from Napoleon, Ohio; Rebecca Morgan, a junior from Glyn Ellen, Ill.; Jasmine Passa, a junior from Arlington, Va.; Gabrielle Rickle, a junior from Fostoria, Ohio and Laura Spence, a junior from Newark, Ohio, who all were awarded a Benjamin Gilman Scholarship to assist with off-campus study programs.
Alexandria Richardson, a sophomore from Moon Township, Pa., and Evan Woodnorth, a sophomore from Whitefish Bay, Wisc., were awarded a Boren Scholarship for study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests and are underrepresented in off-campus study programs.
Grace Bachmann, a first-year student from Worthington, Ohio, will travel to Senegal to create a waste management system as an awardee of the Davis Project for Peace Award.
Michelle Agunloye, a senior from Lynwood, Ill., will travel to Brazil to teach English under the auspices of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship.
Daniel Persia, a senior from Spencerport, N.Y., was awarded both a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship and a Math for America Fellowship.
Adrienne Violand, a senior from North Canton, Ohio, was awarded two separate Fulbright grants, one to teach English in Germany and a second to teach in Austria.
