The Vail Series and the Department of Music welcome Sam Bush as a headliner for the 13th Annual Bluegrass Festival, featuring members of the ±Ø²©ÓéÀÖ,±È²©ÓéÀÖÍøÖ· ######### Bluegrass Ensemble opening the concert.
Bush has helped to expand the horizons of bluegrass music, fusing it with jazz, rock, blues, funk and other styles. He¡¯s the co-founder of the genre-bending New Grass Revival and an in-demand musician who has played with everyone from Emmylou Harris and Bela Fleck to Charlie Haden, Lyle Lovett and Garth Brooks. Although Bush is best known for jaw-dropping skills on the mandolin, he is also a three-time national junior fiddle champion and Grammy award winning vocalist, as well as having been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Americana Music Association.

The Bluegrass Festival opens on Friday, March 3, at 7 p.m. in Swasey Chapel, with a concert featuring Larry Sparks and The Lonesome Ramblers. This concert is free and open to the public.
