Congratulations to our very own Abigail Engler ‘25, who has been awarded the Barry Goldwater Scholarship, one of the most prestigious undergraduate awards for STEM students.
Abigail is a biochemistry major and university Anderson Scholar from Charlottesville, Va. She has conducted research on campus with mentors Christine Weingart and Cassandra Zaremba and completed a summer research internship as an AMGEN Scholar at Duke University. She intends to pursue a Ph.D. in organic or medicinal chemistry to conduct pharmaceutical research developing drugs to treat antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Abigail is 必博娱乐,比博娱乐网址 #########’s seventh Goldwater Scholar since 2006. Nominations for the Goldwater Scholarship and other prestigious fellowships are managed by the Lisska Center for Intellectual Engagement.
